Meet Appside: the next step for app developers who want to sell on the web

Developers came to paas.build to get payments working. App and game developers kept asking for the next piece too: a web store that looked like their product, worked with their users, and did not turn into another long development project. That is why I started Appside.

Working on paas.build taught me how much developers value momentum. They want to build something useful, connect the pieces, and see it work. When payment integration becomes a project of its own, that momentum disappears.

Then the requests started coming in from app developers. There were a lot of them, and the same need kept coming up: make it fast, make it work, and make it feel like our app.

They needed more than a checkout link. They needed somewhere to sell.

The next step: your app's store, on the web

Appside takes that developer-first idea further. The starting point is the app itself: its visual identity, its audience, and the products people already know.

Provide an app listing or screenshots, and the AI builder creates a store design draft. Review the design, configure the catalogue and offers, and build a web experience that feels like it belongs to the same product.

That is the part I am most excited about. A player should recognize the game when they arrive at its store. The colours, the packs, the currency and the overall experience should feel familiar.

A useful store is more than a beautiful page

The real journey continues after the design. A player needs to arrive with the right identity, choose a pack, complete checkout, and receive the purchase back in the app.

Appside's interactive demo shows that whole loop: an app, a matching web store, a simulated purchase, and an updated in-game balance. The publisher workspace brings the catalogue, design, offers and integration settings together.

For developers, the SDK documentation and public MCP server make the integration easier to explore from their existing tools. A coding agent can search the docs, retrieve platform-specific examples, and understand the next implementation step.

From building the store to getting ready to take payments

The ambition follows directly from the conversations at paas.build: bring store creation and the path to payment activation into one coherent experience. Developers should spend their time on their app, rather than assembling a separate commerce product from scratch.

Today, Appside lets you explore the store-building workflow and the end-to-end purchase journey in the sandbox. The checkout in that demo is simulated. Real payment processing and merchant onboarding are not yet available in Appside; they are the next part of the journey.

That distinction matters. A fast design draft, a working integration demo and an approved live merchant account are different milestones. The goal is to make the route between them clear and practical.

Built from the same developer instinct

I see Appside as the next step in the problem-solving approach behind paas.build: start with what developers are asking for, remove the unnecessary work, and make the result something they can actually use.

Appside is my independent venture. It grew out of those developer conversations and my own experience. UNIPaaS is not involved in Appside.

If you build apps or games and want a store that looks and feels like your product, Appside is built around that problem. Explore the demo, review the developer docs, and see how much of the journey you can already put together.

Your app's world deserves its own store.
